A Birthday in Bratislava - It's a long way to go for a party!

In August 2025 I attended Katarina's 50th birthday party in Bratislava. My plan was to take the van and slowly make my way to Slovakia via Austria over a couple of days stopping along the way to see some of the sights and spend a night in Salzburg at the XXXX Camping. Unfortunately, my departure from Zurich was delayed so I headed off on Friday morning to be there for the party on Saturday night. 780 km in about 8.5 hours - sounded pretty easy! What I didin't expect was torrential rains and numerous traffic jams along the way. I eventually made it to Bratislavia and checked into my hotel just over 11 hours after leaving Winti.
